Meet the team
Dr. Nicole Giusto
Dr. Nicole could not be more thrilled to serve the animals of her community. The LoveWell dream began not long after her 2005 graduation from veterinary school. As a newly minted vet, she envisioned a practice embedded in the community, caring for animal family members with accountability and love. This dream grew to include supporting the goals and growth of clinic staff, especially veterinary nurses. When asked what she enjoys most about being a veterinarian, her answer is “everything!” — though she is especially passionate about dermatology, nutrition and dentistry. She loves being a primary care vet because she’s able to care for animals throughout their whole lives and get to know their humans too. In her free time, she adores her summer veggie garden and will proudly share photos of her prized cucuzza. She and her husband could not imagine raising their three two legged children and two four legged children anywhere other than Portsmouth. Please say "hi" to her when you see her at Hannafords, but please don’t judge her for having a rambunctious crew in tow.
Ashley Parsons
A long time Seacoast resident, Ashley’s journey has come full circle. Beginning as a technician at one of the largest emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals in the North East, she then became the primary managing technician for a nationally known veterinary dermatologist. After marrying her college sweetheart, she moved to the Seacoast and used her dermatology knowledge to provide expert support and distribution for a leading veterinary pharmaceutical company. We are incredibly blessed to have the marvelous Mrs. Parsons on our team. When we say that she is one of the kindest, warmest and capable people in this town, we are not exaggerating. We know that you and your four legged family will feel the same!
Katie Pepin
Raised in Somersworth and a graduate of the UNH animal science program, Katie has over 10 years of experience as Certified Veterinary Technician. She comes to LoveWell after a four year stint working closely with surgery, emergency, anesthesia and other specialties at a flagship veterinary hospital. If this top notch experience was not enough, she is certified in “Fear Free” animal handling techniques. These skills, combined with her calm and even demeanor soothe even the most nervous patient. She is passionate about wildlife medicine and brings us the knowledge she gained in her several years with the Center for Wildlife in York, ME. We know you will be as amazed as we are by her magical crochet skills and her knowledge of porcupine sounds. We could not feel luckier to have the lovely Katie on our team.
Ally Weir
If you picture the most thoughtful and endearing soul, you’re probably picturing Ally. A University of Tennessee at Martin alumna, Ally is a certified veterinary technician with a heart as big as her love for animals.
We are so lucky she chose New Hampshire to continue her veterinary journey—bringing along the true love of her life, her cat Oliver (of course!). At home, she’s on the hunt for her favorite pickle flavor, getting creative, and doting on her own furry crew.
At LoveWell, you’ll find Ally involved in daily appointments, surgeries, and dentals, calmly juggling it all while offering gentle reassurance to pets and their people alike. She’s deeply invested in every patient and family, and her compassion shows in every interaction.
Rowan Boyle
Our LoveWell family became even brighter the moment Rowan joined the team, and we’re so lucky to share her talents with you. An experienced veterinary assistant, Rowan has a natural instinct for anticipating each patient’s needs while supporting the medical team every step of the way.
Currently pursuing her degree at Great Bay Community College to become a certified veterinary technician, Rowan balances school and work like a total boss. Her organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for learning shine through in everything she does.
With a special interest in exotic pets, Rowan is proudly responsible for the care of our staff pets—who just so happen to be praying mantises! When she’s not at work, her nurturing nature extends to her thriving plant collection, where her true green thumb is always at work.
We believe in honest communication between our staff members, a fair living wage for our employees, and supporting the physical and mental health of our staff.
